Fisherman is a portfolio site for motion designer Siyi Wang, based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I specialise in transforming people’s creative ideas into stories that connect and influence, especially setting those ideas in motion. My natural empathy drives excellence from concept development to implementation. I’m passionate about making a difference. Welcome to a world of visual stories and creative adventure!

My Story

2015

Graduated from Engineering Science, the top specialisation in Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the University of Auckland, wining the first prize in the final-year project, I found my passion in Visual Storytelling.

2016

Self-taught techniques and tools, volunteered in different projects to learn and apply skills, in the meantime created a start-up importing business called R’t Circle and closed it down in a year, then I was able to freelance for few small businesses, doing Video Editing, Motion Graphics,

2017

As a single person working directly with business owners, I felt eager to give input in a team and work closely with other creatives but was struggled about the next step. While I was figuring it out, I went ahead with my other desire - and had a wonderful-amazing-beautiful baby boy.

2018

Determined to pursue Motion Design as my career, I was admitted into the Master of Design program at Media Design School, with excellence.

 Now,

I want to be an asset to the people and the organisation that need my skill set and at the same time develop my strength with them.
